Seems like something that would be quite useful to make a chat less... dead. I mean, I'm not one to sit there and check to see if the chat is still dead every three seconds. I really don't get how sounds can be bad other than when you're already in a conversation and you hear them every hree seconds when you know you're getting them.

flashchat is horribly bloated and slow and generally image irc is light and simple and fast and if sounds are that big an issue if you connect to it via a multi-protocol IM client like pidgin or something you can probably get sounds of some description


I can't really install stuff when I'm not at home. Also I can't really even run IRC the way I want to when not at home. When we first moved I was >=( @ IRC, but it has grown on my significantly. The fact that I can log in to it on my DS affirms it's awesomeness. Sounds I have always had the sounds off in the chats. Also irc uses very little in terms of system resources and also there's always a yuku chat on this forum (which is flash based) that no one ever uses

Officially it was made for my forum, but honestly I want it to see more use. Srol got it for me, and he showed it to a few of you guys.

I know you guys already have an IRC chat and stuff, but I really dislike IRC and it would be a lot easier to talk with you people if it was in a chat room that I could actually set sounds on.

So yeah, you're more than welcome to use this chat and I'll hand you guys mod powers or whatever.
